TimeLine - 38 years at 511Regina is born June 2, 1958. The Lian family lives at 38 Sherman Street in Windsor Terrace. Marguerite is born May 23, 1963. In 1964, Mom and Dad, Marguerite and I moved to 511 Eighth Avenue. My grandparents on my father's side, Rifah and George Lian, owned the building and lived there. We moved into the second floor. Anissa was born on April 10, 1969. My sisters and I went to St. Saviour School and St. Saviour High School. In 1976, off I went to Pace University. Not one to leave Brooklyn, I commuted to college. Fine by me. Pace was a good institution, lower Manhattan a thriving area, and my college experience a valuable one. That year I began my long relationship with the subway and the F train. While at Pace, I had my fair share of college parties, some held at 511. One infamous night the folks felt the handstand antics of Brian McLaughlin, Joe Tirone and Jimmy Bonamassa. Avon Products hired me in November of 1980. Another solid part of my life and I was still living at 511. Since both my grandparents had passed away that past year, I moved into their vacant apartment on the third floor. Seven rooms. With one minor exception, I lived there alone for over 21 years. My father often reminded me that when he was growing up, nine people lived in the space that I now occupied solo. Highlights include
